ALFRED E OKEKE, MD FACE

ENDOCRINOLOGIST

Dr Alfred E Okeke, a fellow of the American College of Endocrinologists, heads Carolina Diabetes and Endocrine clinics.Prior to relocating to our community, Dr Okeke had been in practice in Sumter, South Carolina.

Dr Okeke received his Medical Diploma from the University of Nigeria Medical School, completed an Internal Medicine residency at the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Okeke is board certified in Internal Medicine; and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

Dr Okeke is also a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society as well as the American College of Physicians.


Donna L Driggers, MS, APRN, BC-ADM, CDE

NURSE SPECIALIST

Donna L. Driggers is an advanced practice nurse specializing in the management of diabetes.

She is currently in practice as the Diabetes Coordinator of the Diabetes Education and Management Center in Hartsville, South Carolina with The Medical Group.

Prior to accepting this position, she had been in practice in Sumter, South Carolina. Donna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, and her Master of Science degree from the University of South Carolina.

Donna is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. She also holds certifications as a diabetes educator, insulin pump trainer, chemotherapy, and picc line therapy.

Donna is a member of the American Diabetes Association, and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.


MICHELLE SANDERS, 

OFFICE MANAGER

Michelle Sanders holds an associate degree in Medical Billing / CPT Coding from the University of South Carolina in Sumter and an Office Administrative Specialist degree from the Mansfield Business College in Columbia South Carolina.

Michelle has had extensive experience in various administrative positions and prior to joining the Practice she was an administrative assistant in a medical office in Sumter, South Carolina.
